The philosophy of the thinktank Manchester is to be open, honest and friendly with clients. Staff work in a relaxed, positive and professional way. We understand that you have your own priorities and we're here to help support you in the best way possible - however stressed you may be from your own workload.
We inspire clients, expect mutual trust and honesty. The more open minded you are, and the more you welcome the truth, the better the results you will get from us.
Free or initial marketing agency advice:
The agency is located in MediaCityUK, though we provide services throughout the world. Depending on individual circumstances, we often are able to provide free initial advice and give you an early indication of what marketing agency services you're likely to need.
We don't charge for initial marketing advice, unless agreed by both parties in advance. What we will say is that our advice and guidance is very much subject to what we are told in the first place.
And, because we trust our clients to tell us the whole picture, we work on the basis that you'll share with us what we need to know. If you feel the need for a confidential guarantee, feel free to pass over an Non Disclosure Agreement (NDA). We'll look over this and pop you a signed copy back before we speak, if that's what is best for you and we feel that its in thinktank's best interests too.
Telephone advice:
Due to the nature of the way business operates today, we offer telephone advice and guidance, subject to the caveat that you've put us fully in the picture first. We're not busy bodies - we just need to know what's going on so we can help you better.
If you need integrated marketing services or simply need strategic consultancy advice, feel free to get in touch. Please talk to us about your needs as sharing your challenge usually gives you a sense of relief, and better options for you to consider.

Fees & fee settlement:
We prefer to provide marketing services on a fixed fee basis. We prefer it because we both know what you're getting and it's easier to manage your expectations from the beginning.
We are happy to provide you with monthly retainer fee or flat-fee daily basis. Essentially we work to whatever model fits in with your business needs. What thinktank marketing quotes is exactly what thinktank marketing charges, with no hidden fees or surprises at the conclusion of a project. Whilst many agencies add-on charges during project work or present charges in a difficult to understand way, thinktank marketing always works in an open frame of mind, keeping clients informed at all stages. That's unless it is an urgent rush-job and there's been no time to discuss things first (though we will do our best to agree fees before any work starts).
Generally, all reasonable amends are included in fixed cost quotations and are not considered separate or chargeable fees - dependent on the situation and with exceptions such as client changes which may require large amounts of work to be re-done.
New clients may be required to pay 50% on a pro-forma basis, until a reasonable number of projects have been completed and at least 6-months trading within credit terms has elapsed. Thereafter, credit terms are on a per-client basis. Your individual business status or other factors may affect thinktank marketing's ability to offer credit terms to clients. Credit terms also subject to budget size and the prevailing economic climate / market conditions. All significant fees or media booking fees (eg, TV advertising) must be settled in advance and on a pro-forma basis. All clients operate under our detailed terms and conditions of trade. Any terms within the agreement take primacy over information on this website or film production website.
Pitches or speculative revenue sharing work:
Sorry to say this up front, but we're not the kind of agency who gets involved in beauty parades or exhaustive pitches. Been there, done that and to be honest, we want to work with clients who want to work with us, without the need to prove ourselves. We've been doing this since 1997 so we don't need the love anymore... we'd rather give your account all the love it needs instead.
If your proposal to thinktank marketing Manchester involves rounds of pitches, shortlists or any kind of commission based approach, you probably would be better off with a different kind of marketing agency.
From time-to-time we also get prospective clients asking for unpaid emergency help with bidding for funds and offering thinktank speculative work, based on them bidding successfully. We're happy to help you win your bid, however we need to eat at night so there's always a fee for any kind of speculative work we produce.
