In 1997, many marketing agencies were for over-charging and under-delivering. The big ones couldn’t offer ‘multimedia (digital), marketing, design and film’ services internally. And, most agencies specialised in either advertising, consultancy or print-based services.
Our concept was to take emerging technologies, fuse together traditional agency services and, establish the first full-service marketing agency. With everything in-house, to reduce costs.
Our founder was a marketer with international client-side expertise in forging novel strategic alliances across the pharmaceutical and entertainment industry sectors.
Before relocating from West Yorkshire to Manchester, we were already working with major brands. Firstly providing leading-edge solutions within a growing range of market sectors. Secondly, the agency won regional and national marketing awards for its work. Because we were instrumental in introducing highly sophisticated database-driven loyalty programmes to the pharma and sports markets. We Introduced 3D-animations capable of running on laptop PCs in 1997. At the time, nobody else had this capability.

In 2020, Thinktank marketing has changed staff working habits to a flexible, home-based way of working. We introduced this before COVID-19 lockdown.
